Welcome to Mrutunjaya community learning centre
We offer a safe, inclusive space for first generation, K-12 learners from economically or socially challenged backgrounds to close learning gaps, improve learning outcomes, and explore their creativity. And all of this free of cost.

We are not just obsessed with improving learning outcomes, we also give children a safe space to build their personality and explore their creativity. Apart from tutoring English, Maths, and computer skills, we take the children on field trips and give them exposure to arts, craft, dance, and storytelling.
We want to ignite a spark in these children that will never go out, the urge to learn, explore, and be curious.
Hear from our volunteers
“Watching the children dance and perform on stage freely without any inhibitions, and seeing the improvement in their hand-leg coordination and gracefulness as dancers brings me immense joy and pride The dance, yoga and zumba sessions have brought a new zeal and enthusiasm in their lives, while giving me a serene sense of satisfaction.”
Vidya Shenoy, dance and fitness trainer, and yoga enthusiast who trains the children on yoga and dance
The problem of learning gaps is real, well documented, and has only widened with the pandemic. First generation learners like your driver’s son or the local coconut seller’s daughter need a lot of support that many of us take for granted.
At Mrityunjay Foundation, we serve just the first generation learners in Sarjapura, Bangalore. But the need is much bigger and widespread. We are only constrained by the space we have and the number of staff we are able to employ.
But we are ambitious and with your help we will help more kids, across Bangalore and across the country, improve their learning outcomes.
